For J.P. Cherniske of New Fairfield, Ct.
JP and I first met at the Elephant's Trunk Flea Market. He asked about a lamp with a sailboat weathervane on top for a stone pillar at the foot of his driveway.
We met at the shop to discuss specific designs that he wanted produced. It will be mounted on a flat piece of flagstone that is 30 x 30 inches. The lamp is about 24" tall and 13" wide at the base, and the sailboat is 9" tall.
The boat is a replica of a Bluejay that I sailed on Dog Pond in Goshen, Ct. when I was a Boy Scout.
The lamp will reside in Candlewood Isle in New Fairfield, where boating is a community hobby.
